Tell My Parents I'm In Trouble- Boko Haram Abductee

March 05, 2018 0
Tell My Parents I'm In Trouble- Boko Haram Abductee

One of the midwives abducted by Boko Haram in an attack on the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp at Rann, Borno State, Thursday night, Hauwa Mohammed, said in a message via Whatsapp that her parents should be informed of her kidnap by the terrorists.

“We are under attack in Rann. They are shooting everywhere, please pray for me; please go and tell my parents that I am in trouble.”
In a video message composed in Hausa in the heat of  the attack by the insurgents, Hauwa, 25, asked her friend to tell her parents that she was being taken away by her abductors.
Running and panting, the victim said: “We are under attack in Rann. They are shooting everywhere, please pray for me; please go and tell my parents that I am in trouble. Please, look for Fatima and tell her they are taking us away. They have entered here now…” It was learned that at that point, a male voice ordered her to keep quiet and not to move an inch. “That was the last that was heard from Hauwa,” the friend, Fatima said. Boko Haram fighters had invaded Rann, a town in Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State, on Thursday. It was gathered that the International Committee of Red Cross, ICRC, contracted the nurse to work in Rann for a period of three months. Another friend of the victim, Abdulhameed Algarzali, who is the editor-in-chief of a local newspaper in Maiduguri, said the nurse assumed work two weeks ago.
Algarzali said Hauwa Mohammed told him she was going to spend two weeks in Gamboru-Ngala, headquarters of Ngala Local Government Area of Borno when she visited him the night before the incident.

He said family members and friends of Hauwa thought she was working at Gamboru Ngala, and not Rann, where she was abducted by Boko Haram. He said: “It seems she did not disclose that she was posted to Rann… why she refused to do so is not clear. “I did not believe the story at first because the Hauwa Mohammed I met a day to her journey told me she was going to Gamboru Ngala for just two weeks. It is surprising, therefore, that this happened to her in Rann. I mean, how did she get there? “It’s possible she did it deliberately to avoid causing unnecessary panic, considering the situation in Rann, or to avoid being stopped by her family. But another possibility is that her employer, the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC, providing medical assistance to over 40,000 displaced persons, misinformed her of the true posting.” The ICRC actually confirmed that two of its midwives were missing, indicating they may have been abducted by the Boko Haram gunmen. But friends and family members of Mohammed also confirmed that after getting her new job, the midwife was flown to Rann in Kala-Balge Local Government Area of Borno State on February 19. “We celebrated her new job and even joked about her coming back so that we could help her spend her first salary in Maiduguri”, said a close friend who identified herself as Fatima Saeed whom the missing midwife also referred to in her WhatsApp message. Some of her friends said she loved keeping in touch with family and friends, adding that they were worried how she would cope working in a cut-off locality, such as Rann, where there is zero access to telecommunication. They said it was her first major job since graduation, following a stint with Fhi 360 in 2017, a North Carolina, USA-based NGO working in Borno State. “But two days after she left, I received a WhatsApp message from her and I was surprised because I knew there was no network in Rann. “Then she told me that they have an internet Wi-Fi to which they connect in order to chat or send emails,’’ Mrs. Saeed said. Gunmen invade during chat On the day of the attack, it was learned that Ms. Mohammed did not chat with Mrs. Saeed but was, however, having a chat with another friend when the Boko Haram gunmen invaded their camp. Under such an extremely dangerous situation, the terrified Mohammed was still able to use the WhatsApp handle on her phone to alert her friends about the attack on Rann, using the voice message application to send out patches of information while she was hiding at a location she said was within the soldiers’ barracks. Piecing the different patches of voice messages she managed to send out before Boko Haram gunmen finally spotted her in her hideout, one could conjecture how the attack occurred. In the messages, she informed her friend in Maiduguri that they were under attack and that they had to run to the military base for protection. But her last voice chat indicated that the attackers had stormed the military base where they were taking refuge and she was about to be harmed. The first voice message with gun shots in the background said “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajium (meaning from God we come and unto Him shall we all return), Boko Haram have invaded our camp, they are coming to take us away.” The second Whatsapp message came in a more panicked voice, saying “Please don’t tell anybody yet, I beg you in the name of God don’t let it out yet, don’t tell Fatima too for now. I am scared (voice broken with tears)…if my parents hear about this now, they will not be happy. Oh God, here they are, are you hearing the gunshots?” The third voice message seemed to be answering a question from the recipient as she said “no, they are still here and they will go with us.” Go, tell my parents… It also suggests that the gunmen may have been repelled earlier before they regrouped and returned for a second phase of the attack; and that Hauwa and other aid workers had to leave their camp and flee into the military base for refuge. ‘’Please go and tell my parents they don’t know the situation that their daughter is in now. For God’s sake, go and tell them. Call Fatima to go and meet my parents, but she shouldn’t tell them now. “We are now in the barracks and the gunmen have come back again. Oh inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun…” The fourth voice message was the most disturbing, as voices of men were heard alongside heavy gunshots, and clanking of metal sheets as Hauwa Mohammed announced in hushed voice that “they (Boko Haram) have entered where I am now; please don’t tell anyone yet, I beg you in the name of God.” It was learned that the fifth voice message was only for about a second as it ended with Hauwa Mohammed  screaming and calling on the name of God. “Inna lillahi wa inna…” Following the attack, the ICRC had since announced the withdrawal all its aid workers from Rann, vowing not to send them unless the Federal Government provided adequate security for them. Aside from the two midwives taken away by the insurgents, no fewer than four soldiers, four policemen and three humanitarian aid workers were killed in the attack.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has maintained that he can “turn things around” at Arsenal and has refused to contemplate quitting his post.

A 2-1 defeat at Brighton on Sunday was a fourth in succession for the Gunners, and an eighth reversal in their last 13 outings. Wenger who has never faced such opposition during his iconic reign in north London retains full confidence in his ability to steer the club through a testing period.

He told Sky Sports following another disappointing display against Brighton, “It’s the first time it happens in my whole career, I must say.

“It’s not easy, but I have enough experience and enough desire to turn things around and I must say that, at the moment, when you need to stay in the game we are making a few mistakes at the wrong moments.

“We have to stick together and focus. We have no other solution.”

Wenger can expect to face further criticism over the coming weeks and months, with it already suggested that he has outstayed his welcome, but the 68-year-old insists he has given no thought to resigning.

Nigeria's 2019 Election Is Our Precedence- US

Nigeria's 2019 Election Is Our Precedence- US
The U.S. A says Nigeria’s 2019 general election and a peaceful transition, remains its major priority in view of the country’s strategic position in the region.

The U.S. Department of State said during a background briefing on the first trip of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to Africa, monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria in New York.

Tillerson would meet with Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari and other top government functionaries, and also leaders of Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Kenya during his travels from Tuesday, March 6 to Tuesday March 13.

The department said over two decades ago, the number of countries in Africa with really democratically elected government were really very few – only three or four.

It said, however, now we had over two dozen African countries with democratically elected governments and which are hopefully not going to have transitions in government through coup d’etats and other illegal methods.
“As we look at the 20 elections, obviously Nigeria, though it’s not this year – it’s going to be next year – that really is a major priority focus, because that’s going to be the third most populous country in the world by 2050.

“It has really very complex political issues and ethnic and tribal issues and security issues,

“And that’s an area that we really are focusing on how to do a peaceful transition, a democratic transition, but more important is how to hold governments accountable to the people,” the state department said.

The department explained that obviously, a lot of those African countries were still fragile democracies and the U.S. was trying to strengthen them.

I Don't Understand What The President Is Doing In Kano When Dapchi Girls Are Still Missing- Tunde Bakare

I Don't Understand What The President Is Doing In Kano When Dapchi Girls Are Still Missing- Tunde Bakare
The presiding pastor of Latter Rain Assembly , Pastor Tunde Bakare,  said that he can't understand what President Muhammadu Buhari and other governors were doing at the wedding of Idris Abiola Ajimobi son of Governors Isiaka Ajimobi and Fatima Umar Ganduje daughter of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in Kano on Saturday when when other peoples’ daughters are in captivity.

Recall that on Feb. 19, 110 students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe, were abducted by suspected insurgents.
Bakare speaking the  during Sunday service in his church in Lagos further said that Peoples Democratic Praty (PDP) for 16 years its spent in government borrowed N6 trillion but All Progresive Congress (APC) just in three years has borrowed N11 trillion.

He said: “Forgive my ill-mannerism, but I could not comprehend why a governor will celebrate the wedding of his daughter, and another governor of his son, on the front pages of newspapers, flashing it before our eyes, when other peoples’ daughters are in captivity,”

“If any of them had lost a daughter in that captivity, would they celebrate that way? I know the Bible says rejoice with them that rejoice, but I do not know what the president of Nigeria was doing there.

“And somebody came to say, let me explain to you, it is Islamic tradition, before this time, about January, they had agreed, that he (Buhari) will be the one to give the bride away and (Bola) Tinubu will be the one to pay the dowry, and present the son, and they agreed long before now.

“I looked at him and said the president of Nigeria wanted to come to my daughter’s wedding, and I said to him, sir, don’t come. That is beneath your office. Face the work of the state and keep serving.

“And 22 governors showed up to mark register, when 110 daughters of citizens of your nation were captured by Boko Haram that you said you have already technically defeated?

“It just shows how insensitive our leaders are. We have gotten to a stage that our president has become a king and a monarch. That his son who rode his pleasurable bike that almost claimed his life, will be returning from an overseas trip, where he had received special healthcare that Nigerians cannot afford, that it took a whole minister of state to go and welcome him, because he has no job.”

“If you truly know the truth, you will weep, if you know how much we are owing as a nation, you will weep. For 16 years of PDP they borrowed N6 trillion, for three years of APC, they borrowed N11 trillion.

“And they are not going to pay the debt. You and I, and our children, and our children’s children will pay the debt, unless they write them off again.”

Arsene Wenger Has Over Stayed His Welcome- Peter Hill-Wood

Former Arsenal chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, has said that manager Arsene Wenger has overstayed at the club.

Hill-Wood was the man who appointed Wenger in 1996.

The Frenchman is under pressure, following a series of disappointing results, including back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Manchester City.

Senior officials at the Emirates have reportedly drawn up a list of possible replacements for Wenger.

Hill-Wood, who stood down as club chairman in 2013, believes the time may have come for Wenger to end his 22-year association with the North London club.

“I clearly am not very happy about what is going on,” Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.

“I think that there probably ought to be a change of management.

“He has done fabulously well, it is just he has overstayed his welcome. I find it very sad because he was the great love of many and then it [overstaying his welcome] has destroyed it all.”

Boarding School System Should Be Suspended In The North- Abubakar Mahmoud

Boarding School System Should Be Suspended In The North- Abubakar Mahmoud

The National President, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Mr. Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), has called for the immediate suspension of boarding schools in the northern parts of the country until a time safety of the students, especially girls can be guaranteed.

Mahmoud made the call yesterday in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, while delivering his speech at the National Executive Committee meeting of the association.

He also tasked the federal government to work harder towards halting the ongoing trend of insecurity in the country, especially the kidnap of 110 schoolgirls of Dapchi Government Secondary school in Yobe state so as to save Nigeria from anarchy.

He said: “In the areas of human security, we seem to have regrettably slide significantly backwards. In the last few months we have witnessed the terrible events in Taraba, Benue and several states that have witnessed loss of hundreds of human lives and property arising from heightened conflict between herders and farmers that has assumed a new dangerous dimension threatening national security.
“We must not allow the country to creep into anarchy which will be the consequence of massive loss of confidence in the ability of the State to protect its citizens. These killings are unacceptable and must be brought to an end.

‘’I want to therefore reiterate my call that the Federal and State Governments should as a matter of urgency suspend the boarding system in the affected states of the Northeast region, especially for girls until the safety and security of the children can be guaranteed.’’

The NBA President tasked the federal government to do all that is humanly possible, including urgently seeking international assistance, for the quick release of all the Nigerian school girls in the terrorists captivity.

“We urge the Government to do whatever is necessary including seeking appropriate international assistance to secure the release of these girls and reunite them with their families,” Mahmoud said.

I Will Remove Church, Mosque From Aso Rock Once I Become President- Presidential Aspirant Adamu Garba

I Will Remove Church, Mosque From Aso Rock Once I Become President- Presidential Aspirant Adamu Garba

Adamu Garba II, a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2019 election, has stated that he would remove Church and Mosque from the presidential villa if given the mandate in 2019.

According to Garba II, founder/CEO, IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited, a leading cloud computing company based in Lagos, religion had contributed to most of the crisis in the world and should be completely detached from politics. In an interview, the young presidential aspirant also promised to turn Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones into nine economic zones.

You said if you become president you will remove both the church and mosque from the federal and state governments, what made you to say that?

Seriously, I mentioned to you, if you check the history of the global religious involvement in politics, usually, religion fair very well when they run as traditional and cultural course than when they become part of politics, because politics is a very sensitive area.

Now, if you check the 30 years war of Europe, the war consumed more than 40 million lives, it’s all about religion. If you check the King Henry Revolution, it was all about religion. Killings and killings.

If you see again what is happening in the Middle East, it is religious motivated war.

So, once you integrate religion in your policy, you are indirectly amplifying a frontline and creating a process for a direct confrontation that will create an endless circle that will consume everybody in the nation. The best thing is to separate this institution from governance.A presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2019 election, Adamu Garba II, has stated that he would remove Church and Mosque from the presidential villa if given the mandate in 2019.

So, once you integrate religion in your policy, you are indirectly amplifying a frontline and creating a process for a direct confrontation that will create an endless circle that will consume everybody in the nation. The best thing is to separate this institution from governance.

So does removing churches and mosque solve this problem?

I think the symbolic representation of an intention of the president is to show you that I don’t come to Aso Rock to pray but I come to Aso Rock to work.

My job is for all Nigerian people and I don’t believe Nigeria has only Muslims and Christians, I believe there are other several religions that have right into the nation and they are also principal stakeholders of the Nigerian project.

As a democratic leader, your job is to protect the interest of the minority regardless of what they believe and to me, I believe that if I truly want to be the real democratic leader, if I am not bringing all religion into Aso Rock, no religion should exist them.

If even any media agency snapped me praying in a mosque because I’m a Muslim, I will sue the person for libel because I am not in Aso Rock to pray, I am there to work and so what I want you to see me as first and foremost is the Nigerian president, not a Christian, not a Muslim, nor a southern and northern, the eastern, the western, the up or down president, but the Nigerian president.

And if I want to do that, I should symbolize it and part of the symbol is, taking out this to houses and making it a free place where everyone can come.

If you become the president, what will be your priority?

My first day in office, I will restrategize the whole of things, but I am going to work immediately on the identity of Nigerian crisis.

We will have to identify the brand Nigeria. Everyone will have to buy the product called Nigeria. That will be my first assignment and I promise to do a press conference every week so that people can understand God has placed us in a very important place and we are all going to benefit.

The second thing is to initiate a policy that will liberate over 160 to 180 million people from poverty and my target is by the end of my administration if I am opportune to stay for eight years, we will have over 160 million people living above 10 dollar per day with the policies if they are properly implemented.
With this, I believe Nigeria will have a journey away from poverty
So four years is not even enough to achieve this?

Yes, four years will set you on a path to doing that. First and foremost, we need to define ourselves and understand who we are. Secondly, we need to focus on infrastructure because we need that money people share in Abuja to build our roads, bridges and dredge our River Niger.

Each state should be able to create an economic zone within the country, about 9 economic zones with Lagos as the centre.

All we need to do is to make sure that each zone is powering the state within their locality.

So, I believe that with this, infrastructure, power, maybe because we already have regular oil money that I think we will use to power our productivity, because we won’t export oil again.

Woman Turns Millionaire Through Breast milk Retailing

Woman Turns Millionaire Through Breast milk Retailing

A certain mum of two has made thousands by selling her breast milk to men all over the world. The woman who is married, Rafaela Lamprou gave birth to her son Anjelo seven months ago, and was producing excess milk which she had no room to store.Since then, she has sold  over 502 litres of breast milk to strangers who pay thousands for it. She has made over $6,000 from her sales to men and she plans to keep going.

The hotel worker  who also has a four-year-old daughter, Hailey  started by donating her milk to women who were struggling to produce breast milk for their babies. She began sending it to the UK and within her home country of Cyprus and still donates her milk to women.
the 24-year-old soon found that men were approaching her for the milk – either as part of their health regime or for fetish reasons. Now Rafaela, who lives with her husband Alex, 33, and their two kids, sends her milk out to the men for cash on a regular basis.

She said: “I gave birth to my son seven months ago. I had a lot of milk and I thought I needed to do something with it, so I started storing it.

“But it was too much – it was taking up all the chest freezer. It was full. I didn’t know what to do with it.

“So, I asked a couple of mums who were having trouble breast-feeding if they wanted it. I started giving it away.”

Rafaela continued: “I was producing over two litres of milk a day and giving it to women locally. Then I started shipping it to the UK.

“I liked seeing the new mums’ faces when I was able to help them. I then started to get some enquiries from men.
“It started with men who were interested in body building. They say it is good for building muscle mass.

“But then, I started to get enquiries from men with fetishes. Now I breastfeed on demand. I have no idea what they do with it, but they tell me they consume it.”

Rafaela said that at first, it was a ‘bit strange’ giving her breast milk to guys with fetishes – however, she’s okay with it as long as it doesn’t go any further in terms of asking her to show any part of her body, explaining that she’s “open minded.”

“I am not sure how much longer I will carry on for,” she continued. “I had no idea with my first baby that you could do this kind of thing. But now it is quite addictive.

“My husband is so supportive of me. He is really cool about it. He is happy as long as I am.”

Rafaela has started her own Facebook group to sell her breast milk, where people can approach her.

She is also on a website where men can approach her for the milk.

DIARY OF A PASTOR'S WIFE

DIARY OF A PASTOR'S WIFE
That morning, my husband David came to pick me at the airport. He was dry faced and tensed, very unusual.

Other times, David would be so excited to come pick me, he would kiss me and hug me passionately, but now, everything became different.
"You kept me waiting for hours in there."
I said, gazing angrily at him.
"Don't tell me it's traffic honey, today is Saturday."

"I am sorry, I had to pick the kids from summer lessons, and then rush to church to counsel a few couples."He said soothingly.

"you now prepare the kids for school, What happened to Ifeoma? she is the kids nanny."

"And you are the Kids mom!" He Screamed suddenly.
"you've been away from your family for 5months Ekom, the kids don't even talk about you anymore." David deliberately slowed his breathing in a bid to calm himself down.

I was silent for a while.
my lips quivered, but David ignored that he saw tears glistening in my eyes.

Catching his eyes as he tried to look at me, I sensed a shiver of unease go through him.

He was right, I was away from my family for four months or more, I had women's conference and hundreds of women to mentor in Houston. It was a moment I didn't want to miss.
Then I broke the silence; "what of Ifeoma?"

David looked uncertain. "she fell ill, so I asked her to go see Doctor Dennis."

We were both quiet until we got home.

I Regretted My Last Relationship !! Part 3

I Regretted My Last Relationship !! Part 3
Despite I felt a lot of pains, this experience was really a revelation of who God is to me. When the room didn't lead me out of the house, I thought the only thing left for me was death. But I was wrong, the room led to my deliverance. Most of the time, we always think God will save us through a rout, but his ways are different.
As I was crying and trying to move out of this room to face my fate. I felt a hand pulled me back, I was half dead, I thought probably, someone was in the room I didn't notice, but when I turned back, I didn't see any one. Instead, I noticed a big double door wardrobe in this room, it was as if I was blind before, I went straight away to this walldrope, as if a hand is still pulling me along, I opened it. This wardrobe has three compartments. The top was full of diffent types of guns and handsets. The middle was filled with clothes, while the down part has different kinds of shoes and bags. Immediately I sighted my phone and my bag. I was shaking at this discovery. "God is the greatest. No one can beat God"
See Also I Regretted My Last Relationship
Quickly I decided to pick my phone and switch it on, I was surprised that it was still intact, I sent text message to my aunt immediately, informing her that I have been trapped and almost killed in Fred's house, that I discovered Fred is a cultist, and that all she need to do as early as she get the message is to go and get the police informed immediately and come for my rescue. I also added that I stole my phone to send the message, and that she may not be able to reach me again. Immediately I sent it, she replied with ah! Ah ah! The God that I serve will rescue you. Just be calm. I am in the church for women vigil. All will be well! I sent her another message telling her not to send any message again, that I will be waiting for her. I quickly deleted all the messages, switched off the phone, replaced it there. Immediately I closed the walldrope, the wardrobe disappeared into the wall, I was shaking greatly at this revelation. I now knew it, that it was not visible when I first entered the room. An angel took me there for my deliverance and quickly I moved back to my prison. They were still there dancing, drinking, and having fun in the dancing room. No one took note of me.
But something happened to me when I got back to the room I was put. I was not afraid again. The revelation I saw earlier made me very bold. I knew and was so sure that God will save me. I became so calm. I was waiting for God to finish what he started.

"This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the bride and groom," a spokesperson said. The couple has invited 2,640 commoners into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrivals of the bride and groom—and their wedding guests—at St. George's Chapel, and to watch the carriage procession as it departs the castle.

Kensington Palace said last month that Harry and Meghan are "hugely grateful for the many good wishes they have received since announcing their engagement," adding, "They are very much looking forward to the day and to being able to share their celebrations with the public."
